How to make your phone impossible to track?

When you have a phone, it’s essential to be aware of how others could track your location and use that information without your permission. Luckily, there are several steps you can take to make your phone much harder to track.

Change your location data:

One way to make your phone more difficult to track is by regularly changing your location data settings. Most phones have a location setting allowing you to share your location with apps and other users. Changing this setting frequently will make it more difficult for someone to track your location over time.

Using a fake GPS app, you can also change the location data that your phone broadcasts. This will make it appear as if you are in a different location than you are.

You can do a few other things to make it more difficult for someone to track your phone. You can use a privacy screen protector to prevent someone from being able to see your screen, and you can use a secure lock screen pattern or PIN.

Change your SIM card:

Another way to throw off would-be trackers is by regularly changing the SIM card in your phone. This will change your phone number and make it more difficult to locate your phone number.

Here’s how to do it:

1. First, you will need to purchase a new SIM card. You can usually find these at your local electronics store or online.

2. Once you have your new SIM card, power off your phone and remove the old SIM card.

3. Next, insert the new SIM card into your phone. Please ensure it is properly inserted, and then power on your device.

4. Finally, open up your phone’s settings and go to the “About Phone” section. In this section, you should see your new SIM card information.

That’s it! Regularly changing your SIM card can make it much more difficult for anyone to track your location. Remember that this won’t stop everyone from tracking you, but it will make it much harder for them to do so. 

Get a VPN:

When browsing the internet, your phone leaves a digital trail of where you have been and what you have done. This is called your “digital footprint.”

If you are not careful, your digital footprint can be used to track your location, see what you search for online, and even find out who your friends are.

You can also make it more difficult for someone to track your phone by using a VPN. A VPN, or Virtual Private Network, encrypts your internet traffic and makes it more difficult for people to see what you are doing online. This includes tracking your location through your IP address.

Use a burner phone:

If you want to keep your location and identity completely private, using a burner phone is the way to go. A burner phone is a prepaid phone that can be used for a short period and then be disposed of. 

This makes it much harder for anyone to track your movements or tap into your conversations. Plus, since you are not using your real name or personal information, there’s no way for anyone to connect the phone to you.

Here’s how to get started with a burner phone:

1. Purchase a prepaid phone from a store or online. Be sure to get one that doesn’t require a contract.

2. Set up the phone with a new number. Again, make sure to use a fake name and address.

3. Use the phone only for calls and texts. Avoid using apps or connecting to the internet, as this can give away your location.

4. When you are done with the phone, dispose of right away!

Following these steps will make it much harder for anyone to track your movements or eavesdrop on your conversations. So if privacy is a top concern for you, using a burner phone is the way to go.

Install a tracking blocker:

You can install a tracking blocker on your phone. This will block apps and websites from tracking your location and sharing that information without your permission.

Many tracking blockers are available, but we recommend Ghostery or Disconnect. Both apps are available for free on the App Store and Google Play.

Once you have installed a tracking blocker, it will automatically block cookies and other online tracking forms. This will make it impossible for anyone to track your phone’s location or activity.

Refrain from using public WiFi networks:

Most people know that GPS can track their phones, but did you know that your phone can also be followed by the WiFi networks it connects to? That’s right! if you are using a public WiFi network, the chances are good that someone else is tracking your phone’s movements.

So what can you do to protect yourself? The best thing to do is to avoid using public WiFi altogether. If you absolutely must use public WiFi, turn off your phone’s WiFi function when you are not using it. This will prevent your phone from automatically connecting to nearby WiFi networks and make it much harder for someone to track your movements.

Keep in mind that even if you take these precautions, there’s no guarantee that your phone won’t be tracked. If someone wants to track your movements, they may be still able to do so even if you are not using public WiFi.

Put your mobile device on airplane mode:

When you put your phone on airplane mode, it essentially shuts off all communication from your device. Your phone can’t connect to cell towers, WiFi networks, or Bluetooth devices. This also means that any apps that rely on these services will not be able to function correctly.

Airplane mode is the best way to ensure no one can track your phone. However, it is essential to note that this will prevent you from receiving any calls or messages. So, if you need to be reachable, you may consider another method of making your phone untraceable.

Remove unfamiliar apps:

If you are concerned about their privacy, you would want to ensure that your phone can’t be tracked. One way to do this is to remove any apps that you don’t recognize or look suspicious. 

These could be tracking your location or collecting data about you without your knowledge. If you are unsure whether an app is safe, you can research it online or ask a trusted friend before downloading it. Once you have removed unwanted apps, your phone will be much harder to track.

Taking these steps can make it much more difficult for someone to track your phone and follow your movements.
