PSG vs Manchester United Match Preview
The last time these two clubs locked horns, both sets of fans as well as the neutrals were in for a ride. Despite being the stronger team on paper, the PSG team had to suffer against an unstoppable Manchester United side. Despite winning the away leg with two-goals and a clean sheet to their name, the Parisian club were knocked out at home by Ole’s side.
There was much talk once the game had ended. Controversy fueled on and off the pitch. Di Maria had a clash with the fans at Old Trafford. Bottles were thrown as well as some terrible insults. The second-leg was marred with clashes. More than a couple of yellow cards were given. When the game ended, Neymar took to Twitter to let his feelings known. The result – a ban from the upcoming Champions League matches.
Despite the humiliation of getting knocked out in the Round-of-16 by the Red Devils, the Parisian club bounced back next year, managing to reach the Champions League final. Finally, they had the chance to lift the Champions League trophy for the first time in history. Instead, the team crumbled against the opposition, allowing Bayern Munich to lift the trophy for the sixth-time.

This setback did affect their start to the new season, when PSG lost consecutively in the opening games, they have managed to fight back and climb to the second-spot on the league table.
Thankfully, for them, they will be facing a Man United side that has been lacking form in the past few games. They’ve already lost to Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspurs in the most humiliating fashion. Currently, they’ve conceded more goals than they’ve scored. Which is why it will be easy to assume that the PSG might be able to get some pay-back after their hard defeat in 2019.
But it wouldn’t be right to discount the Red Devils completely. Because they have been able to show renewed enthusiasm in the Champions League in the past. Ole is in trouble at the moment, which is why he would be looking to produce a decent result, which might save his job just like it did after their last clash.
We’re rooting for an interesting clash between two of the biggest clubs in Europe. Stay tuned to find out who reigns supreme this time around.
