Windows8 Installation Guide for L2TP VPN Setup
Setting up PureVPN under Windows 8 is simple. The following instructions will guide you through a manual connection of the PureVPN service on Windows 8 machines.
Windows 8 Tutorials
Step 1:
Right click on the computer icon on the system tray and go to "Open Network and Sharing Center "
Step 2:
Click "Set up a new connection or network"
Step 3:
Click "Use my Internet Connection (VPN)"
Step 4:
Select "Connect to a workplace" and then hit "Next"
Step 5:
Enter "Internet address" of your choice from the many provided in configuration email (the same email that contains your user name and pass). Destination name should be "PureVPN Connection". Check mark "Don't connect now; just set it up so I can connect later". Hit "Next"
Step 6:
Enter user name and password as provided in configuration email (This is NOT same as your client area login details).Leave Domain field empty and check mark Remember this password if you do not wish to enter login detail every time. Hit "Create"
Step 7:
Without clicking "Connect now" hit "Close"
Step 8:
Click on the computer icon in system tray and you will see the newly created VPN connection. Right Click on it and Click on “Properties”
Step 9:
Click on "Security" tab and select "Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol" as shown and then press “OK”
Step 10:
Now click on the computer icon in system tray and you will see the newly created VPN connection. click on “Connect”.
STEP 11:
Enter user name and password as provided in configuration email (This is NOT same as your client area login details).
STEP 12:
You are now connected, Enjoy the Freedom!
