Installation Guide for PPTP
Setting up PureVPN connection under Windows XP is simple. The following instructions will take you through the setup creation process step–by–step.

STEP 1:
Click "Start" and go to "Control Panel".
STEP 2:
Click on "Network and Internet connections"
STEP 3:
Click "Network Connections"
STEP 4:
Click "Create a new connection"
STEP 5:
On the new wizard that opens, click "Next"
STEP 6:
Select "Connect to the network at my workplace" and hit Next
STEP 7:
Select "Virtual Private Network connection" and hit Next
STEP 8:
Put Company name as "PureVPN" and hit Next.
STEP 9:
Enter "Hostname or IP Address" of your choice from the many provided in configuration email (the same email that contains your user name and pass). Click Next
STEP 10:
Select "Add a shortcut to this connection" and hit "Finish".
STEP 11:
You will now see a new connection named PureVPN. Right click and select "Properties" a new window will popup. Enter user name and password as provided in configuration email (This is NOT same as your client area login details). Check mark "Save this username and password". Click "Properties".
STEP 12:
Verify the hostname you entered in step 9. Then click on "Networking" tab.
STEP 13:
Select PPTP VPN from the drop down menu.
STEP 14:
From the same screen uncheck "File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks" leaving others as they are. Click OK
STEP 15:
Now go to your connections and double click PureVPN to launch newly created PureVPN connection. Hit "Connect".
STEP 16:
This message will confirm that your VPN connection is establishing.
STEP 17:
You are now connected to PureVPN. Enjoy the Freedom.
