Kali Linux Upgraded with Nine Tools: Development in Cyber Security

Kali Linux has released its third version for 2023, named Kali Linux 2023.3. This update offers nine fresh tools and internal enhancements.

What’s the release all about?

In this release, the Kali Team focused mainly on refining the system’s internal structure to match Debian 12’s clearance earlier this summer. This involved a significant overhaul of their infrastructure, with the goal of completing most of it by the year’s end.

Additionally, their internal packaging scripts have been improved, adding more features.

Kali Linux 2023.3 introduces nine new tools, including Calico for cloud networking and security, Hubble for Kubernetes observability, and Villain, a C2 reverse-shell framework. The kernel version has also been upgraded to 6.3.7.

Kali NetHunter updates

Update: Kali NetHunter now supports more mobile kernels, including Nexus 6P, Pixel 3/XL, and Samsung Galaxy A7. A new Nethunter Terminal has been created as well.

Other updates are in line, too, including Kali ARM Updates and Kali Website Updates.

Those interested in Kali Linux 2023.3 can upgrade an existing installation, choose a platform, or directly download ISO images for fresh installs and live distributions. If upgrading, just follow simple commands to move to the latest release.
