How to Set Up a Synology NAS VPN
Access the Synology Control Panel and select the Network Interface tab.
Go to Create > Create VPN profile, select OpenVPN (via importing a .ovpn file), and click Next.
Download the .ovpn file and extract the zip file by clicking the Linux link provided here.
Input your desired name in Profile name and enter your PureVPN credentials in User name and Password. Use the Browse button to select the extracted .ovpn file and add the ca.crt file in the CA Certificate field.
Check the Use default gateway on remote network box. If you want, you can also enable Reconnect when the VPN connection is lost option.
Click Apply to save the VPN profile.
Select the new VPN connection under Network Interfaces, click the Connect button, and you are all set!
