As an integral part of our team, you will spearhead the optimization efforts for our app’s visibility and downloads, ensuring millions of users can enjoy a secure and private internet experience.

As the app marketing specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving our app’s success by leveraging your expertise in app store optimization and mobile marketing strategies.

You will be joining our performance marketing team and work on several user acquisition channels such as Google, Apple Search Ads, Facebook, DSPs, Affiliates, and other programmatic channels. Part of your responsibility will be to work on our apps with the aim of maximizing ROAS and LTV and effectively managing their paid budgets. You will work with App Store Optimisation (ASO) to drive installs and convert users for our apps to enable sustainable and strong growth.

Responsibilities

  • Identify growth opportunities and embrace challenges
  • Execute tests, collect and analyze data, identify trends and insights to achieve maximum ROI in performance marketing campaigns
  • Track, report, and analyze campaigns in depth by understanding the core problems/drivers of change
  • Effectively manage campaign expenses by staying on budget, appropriately estimating monthly costs, and reconciling any discrepancies that may arise.
  • Collaborate closely with our design and data & engineering teams
  • Research the relationship between paid and organic placements, cannibalization of organic traffic by paid placements, impact of ASO efforts on paid and organic, pricing optimization and more.
  • Analyze competitors and continually expand and optimize performance by looking into threats and opportunities
  • Drive ASO projects forward and ensuring overall success
  • Increase organic downloads by conducting keyword optimization and conversion rate optimization for the App and Play Store presences of our apps
  • Manage and train one or more Junior app marketing specialists who will assist you with executing the work
  • Brief designers and translators on creative experiments as well as the localization of app store assets
  • Devise new methods and strategies for ASO to make our projects a success and give us a competitive edge
  • Support other mobile growth-related activities of the company
  • Explore and optimize new acquisition channels
  • Drive the entire app marketing strategy for all our apps
  • Develop long-term and short-term marketing plans
  • Effectively manage data reporting, logging, and documentation

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of mobile marketing experience
  • Proven experience in user acquisition and retention strategies for mobile apps, including campaign planning, execution, and optimization.
  • Excellent presentation skills, ability to communicate and defend results, and comfortable in sharing ideas.
  • Excellent knowledge of App/Play store developer consoles, key ASO metrics, and mobile marketing terminology.
  • In-depth experience with A/B testing of creative assets on Android and iOS, as well as managing experiment backlogs.
  • Experience with keyword optimization, relevant tools, and processes, with the ability to bring personal learnings to the team.
  • Familiarity with startup culture, adaptable to change, and willingness to contribute in various areas.
  • Deep understanding and curiosity about mobile tracking and measurement, including MMPs, SKAN, events setup, SDKs and S2S tracking.
  • Self-management skills, initiative, ability to work under tight deadlines, and a positive attitude.
  • Strong understanding of the mobile app ecosystem, including app store guidelines, platform updates, and industry trends.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to conceptualize and develop compelling app marketing campaigns and promotional materials.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Detail-oriented and data-driven approach to analyze app performance metrics and make data-backed recommendations for optimization.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and ever-changing mobile app landscape, staying updated with emerging technologies and best practices in app marketing.
  • Relevant certifications or courses in mobile app marketing, digital marketing, or related fields would be a plus.
  • Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills (additional languages are a plus).
